Petitgrain – Citrus vulgaris
Petitgrain Essential Oil is one of the most underrated oils in our range. The orange tree does well for aromatherapy providing us with three lovely oils. We get Orange oil from the fruit, Neroli from the Flowers and Petitgrain from the leaves and twigs. The aroma of Petitgrain Essential Oil is similar to Neroli, but without the softness. The therapeutic values also mirror Neroli. It is calming in states of anger and soothing in panic states.
The refreshing qualities of Petitgrain Essential Oil can bring clarity to the thoughts. An overall excellent oil for improving mental states. Petitgrain is a must for people who suffer from feeling down during the winter months as it is particularly effective for people who are feeling just a little down over a long period of time rather than sudden bouts of depression.
Petitgrain Essential Oil has the ability to slow thoughts which makes it an effective oil to use to combat insomnia. The relaxing nature of the oil also makes it useful to use on tense muscles, muscle spasms, and eases joint inflammations which can be so painful.
A lovely toning oil that is good to use on oily skin and hair. Also effective on acne, boils, and scars.
