Lemongrass oil is an energising oil that stimulates and enlivens spirits when exhausted. A particularly good oil to use after a long flight. A less exotic use but more useful is its ability to overcome morning fatigue making it a great oil to use in an early morning shower. Reduces irritability caused by nervous exhaustion.
Lemongrass essential oil is a lovely oil to use to ease aching muscles and a tonic to tired feet, a few drops in warm water and you will feel like a new person. A particularly useful oil to use as a post sports muscle rub as it is said to help maintain good muscle tone.
Furthermore, it is a strongly antiseptic oil that also has anti-fungal properties, there have been good reports of it clearing some foot problems. Although not a citrus oil it does have a lovely lemony aroma that can be used to reduce excessive perspiration which also acts as a natural deodorant.
Finally, Lemongrass essential oil is an excellent oil to add to homemade soaps and shower gels.

If pregnant, nursing or under a doctor’s care, consult a physician. Discontinue use of Lemongrass Essential Oil if skin sensitivity occurs. Avoid contact with eyes. Do not use undiluted on the skin or diluted on broken skin or abrasions. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use internally, unless directed by a licensed Aromatherapist or physician. Do not discharge into drains.
